S.O.U.L.S. Youth Choir and Dr. Jill Hobby are looking forward to having Dr. Laura Backlin, Carson Newman University's Director of Vocal Studies, lead a choral masterclass on December 9, 2024 from 6-7:45 p.m. Dr. Backlin, soprano, is Associate Professor of Music at Carson-Newman University where she teaches Applied Voice and conducts the Women Singers. She has also taught Lyric Diction, Song Literature, Class Voice, Music History and Literature, and Music Appreciation.

We are excited for this collaborative educational opportunity for S.O.U.L.S. singers to continue to grow and develop their voices and their choir sound! S.O.U.L.S. Singers are expected to bring their binders and a pencil to take notes from Dr. Backlin!
